Well, its built, it floats, the paint and varnish are dry, and she is in her new home on Alnmouth Beach.

Yes – finally, the Great Day arrived
Four men in a boat, plus one woman
Today we placed Pride of Aln in the sea off Alnmouth beach and set off to Holland. After 50 yards, Dave mentioned that he had secreted a bottle of whiskey in the wine cellar. so we stopped, anchored, and toasted the boat, each other, the weather, the sea, and Alnmouth.
Then we forgot Holland and rowed back

Pride of Aln comes home.
It’s been a long time coming, but here she is, all complete, arriving at the Old LifeBoat house on Alnmouth beach, her new home for at least the next 5 years. Rather fitting to be bringing back a rowing boat to the same building that housed a winning design of lifeboat in 1853.
